Recent Hunting Expeditions
EGA Prostaff began in 2006, when Lee McCormick and Nick Johannsen began organizing a loosely connected group of waterfowlers into a tight knit waterfowl hunting machine. The ega Prostaff has over 120 years of combined waterfowl experience in the eastern South Dakota prairie pot hole region.

South Dakota Goose Hunting
EGA Prostaff began in 2006, when Lee McCormick and Nick Johannsen began organizing a loosely connected group of waterfowlers into a tight knit waterfowl hunting machine. The ega Prostaff has over 120 years of combined waterfowl experience in the eastern South Dakota prairie pot hole region. The ega Prostaff is dedicated to the relentless pursuit of waterfowl in the upper Midwest, ranging from Canada to Kansas.
Starting in September with early season S.D. Canada goose, October with Saskatchewan non-resident seasons, November and December with regular season S.D. ducks and geese, January and February with late season honkers in central South Dakota and ending with spring conservation Snow Geese, our prostaff members are in the chase for 7 months out of the year. In addition, we have put over 150,000 miles on our vehicles hunting and scouting during the 2007 waterfowl season.
We use all the newest waterfowling gear from Final Approach layout blinds, to custom short-read goose calls and Hardcore full-body decoys. Most of our hunts will be field based in harvest corn, wheat or beans using from 50 to 350 full body goose or duck decoys. All of our equipment is transported in one or more of our 4 enclosed trailers.
Each hunt will be guided by one or more of our prostaff members. The guides will be responsible for setting up and organizing the blinds and decoy placement. Each hunter is encouraged to help with the setup and to be completely involved with the hunting experience. Hunts for Canada geese will generally be in the mornings and hunts for mallards will be in the evenings.
We are limiting the hunting party to 2 to 3 hunters plus guides. By limiting the hunters it will provide a more personal and intimate hunting experience. Waterfowl hunting in South Dakota is limited to a drawing in mid summer, see link page for more information.
We are limiting dates and opportunities to hunt with our expert prostaff so book today.
